Almost no information exists on Barry Peak, or on his movies. No AFI personality file or movie files on any of the films he worked on (the number of which I could also not find evidence of). I do know that As Time Goes By (1987, $780,000 budget), was the fourth feature film he made with Chris Kiely, (Peak as director, Kiely as producer), after Future Schlock (1981, $80,000), Channel Chaos (1983, $350,000), and The Big Hurt (1985, $690,000). Peak and Kiely co-owned the Valhalla cinemas in both Melbourne and Syney in the 1980s, and all these films had their theatrical release throught the Valhalla. |
