This film was first scripted as The Cricketer in 1985, then adjusted about twenty times by Barry Peak and Chris Kiely. The film shoot took six weeks, three weeks exteriors in Broken Hill, then three weeks interiors in a Melbourne studio, on a $780,000 budget. It was shot on super 16mm, then blown up to 35mm, and had a theatrical release through the Valhalla cinemas in Melbourne and Sydney. |
Synopsis |
A spaceship that looks like an old diner crashes in the Australian desert. The alien (who can travel back in time) has previously contacted Mike to be in the desert on this particular day, so that he can find the power source that flew off the spaceship when it crashed. |
