Comments Although this article provides detailed reviews of each film within the Shifting Sands compilation, the author has a tendency to generalize about the films in order to group certain titles based on all too convenient themes.

This is an extremely subjective review in which Weller discusses the meanings he deduced from images within particular films and provides his own account of the emotional impact of particular scenes.

Comment by Gavin Walburgh

The article by Archie Weller may be subjective , but this does make it any more or less valid. It is almost simplistic in it's approach but none the less provides a personal response to each film on the compilation and highlights the important themes of earth , family and belonging. He sees the series as one that begins to "blow away old stereotypes , bringing to life on screen a whole new world."
Synopsis This article provides a brief description of the Shifting Sands compilation and detailed reviews and synopses of each individual title.
