The Grosvenor once was called the Central Hall. The Central Hall opened its gates in 1928. First it was used as a hall and later turned into a cinema. When there was a huge amount of high standard British films, the management of the Central Hall decided that they will be screening only British pictures. They renamed the cinema immediately.
