Jon Hewitt worked for many years in the exhibition business before turning his hand to film production. Originally trained as a kindergarten teacher (it's true!) Jon shared his passion for all things filmed by hosting the 3CR Film Show in the mid-eighties.
Jon began working for Michael and Maria Walsh at the Brighton Bay at this time and later for Premium Films. He was also the driving influence behind Melbourne's first videotheque in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.
Jon's first film, Bloodlust was a self-funded vampire video that proudly claimed to be the first Australian film banned in Britain. The cast and crew featured many Melbourne night-club personalities some of whom would return for his second effort, Redball.
Jon now lives in Sydney. |

Not so much an article as a two page photo spread with short blurb on the film which sounds like it is from the press kit.
