Technicolouryawn.com is a very convenient website that has numerous listings of different cinema venues in Melbourne.
It is nearly the only website which has good information about the Capri theatre in Murrumbeena, a suburb of Melbourne:
The Capri was a converted church (Murrumbeena Public Hall) that was built in 1932. Later it was renamed in âThe Argosy Theatreâ and in 1962 it became the Capri, but they reduce the capacity. It was not a prominent and a modest theatre, but it was successful at his time. The Capri was one of the theatres that survived when those around it broke down, for example because of the beginning of television.
The article also provides details on the number of seatings and it also gives a list of films that were shown in the 1970s, which is really interesting to see because the Capri screened a lot of science-fiction films like Barbarella or The Illustrated Man.
