Comments While acknowledging that it was disconcerting for Australians when the French festival organisers bracketed Indigenous Australians with Iranians on the basis of their struggles in a "hostile cultural environment", Williams fails to delve into this issue further - of the differences: between the two countries; the issues represented by the films; the filmic styles; and the filmmakers' cultural heritages. More importantly he fails to discuss the problems of generalizations in the realm of racial representations.
