Comments |
This film was the first produced by David Haines and Redstone films.
This film looks like a lot like most other adult product, however it holds great importance to the history of adult film in this country.
It has been said that this film caused the renaissance of the adult film industry. In many respects those comments were right, the film did amazing buisness (a normal X rated film can expect to sell around 500 copies on the Australian market, 'Buffy' sold 5,000). It has also found a good sell on market in the U.S. where it reached 39 on the AVN (adult video)charts.
It has been screened on Pay TV in Australia, and is expected to sell to the European market as well.
As to its 'Australianess", like a large amount of Australian produced erotica before it, it relies heavily on American talent (in this case the actress Kristi Myst), but all of the other actors are Australian. The action is all set in Australia, the film goes out of its way to be Australian (sort of like a 'Crocodile Dundee' for the international adult film industry). |
Synopsis |
Buffy's friend Allie is in some sort of trouble. To try to find her Buffy travels from the USA to Australia where she becomes involed in various adventures, most of which revolve around sex. In the middle of one sexual episode, Allie comes back and the two go back to the USA |
