Synopsis Lorna Denver is the manager of the wealthy Kangaroo Flat sheep station. Rivalry for her hand in marriage arises between Oswald and a dashing young surveyor, Tom Wilson.Lorna gives shelter to a baby which has survived an attack by Aborigines on white settlers, and Tom is lead to believe that the baby is actually her own. Hurt by Tom's assumption, Lorna spurns him. Later Oswald is murdered and Tom is arrested an put on trial. At the last moment the Chinese chef on the station reveals that Oswald was seen murdered, not by Tom, but by another woman wronged by Oswald. Tom realizes the mistake about the baby and is happily reconciled with Lorna.
