Comments The personal experiences were sincere and there was a grave feeling of regret from alot of these men. It may have worked better if their experiences were documented in way that created more of an emotional response , the recreation of the inmate simulating the experience of solitary confinement was just that, a recreation , he was asked to perform and this lost some of the meaning for me , it was maybe too self conscious. The issue seemed too important not to create something that was going to shock young people with the reality of prison life.
Synopsis Inmates of the Long Bay prison are given the means to make a video which is to be sent out to Aboriginal juvenile centres with stories of their own experiences. The aim was to help keep young Aboriginals out of goal. The filming documented the process the inmates went through to create the production.
