Synopsis Mobarak Tahiri, is a young Hazari refugee on a Temporary Protection Visa, living in the small country town of Young, NSW. The story follows Mobarak's friendship with Lyn Rule and her daughter Molly, a local high school teacher; and his involvement in both the local and Hazari community in Young.

The film traces the emotional strain and uncertainties that Mobarak feels when he falls in love with Molly. We wait to see whether their relationship will succeed and if he will be granted permanent Australian resident status, or have to return to an uncertain future in Afghanistan.
