Ann Turner was asked to write the screen-play for this movie after the success of Celia. It was based on the novel by Blanche D'Alpuget. It has received critical scorn from Malaysia in that it arguably portrayed things worse then what they actually were. |
| Synopsis |
Judith, a journalist, is sent to report on the plight of Vietnamese refugees in a Malaysian refugee camp. After meeting the Vietnamese wife of a diplomat, Minou, the two hope to exposure the terrible conditions the refugees are suffering. |
