Comments This film really delves deep into the human mind and makes you question everything that happens. Sarandon plays an excellent role, she is totally convincing and shows how relationships can become strained when issues of trust are involved. Sandra's relationship with Craig is put to the test when she believes Mara is stalking her. Craig doesn't believe it and they start fighting. Craig even entertains the idea of having an affair with Mara, who seems more sane and normal than his wife. In the end, there are too many twists in this movie, especially the coda at the end which is frustrating but perhaps offers a light hearted ending to the otherwise tense film. Blunt's character challenges perceptions of normality because she leads you to believe that she is sane the whole time, when in fact she is probably the craziest person in the film. Issues of child-adoption, death, trust, family and mental health are well explored and questioned throughout.
Synopsis Irresistible charts the experiences of Sophie Hartley, a renowned illustrator with a seemingly happy family relationship. Strange things begin to happen and Sophie becomes obsessed with the idea that she is being stalked by her husband Craig's workmate Mara. Scared and a little out of control, Sophie becomes the stalker. This movie is full of twists and will keep you guessing until the end.
