Jane Scott came to prominence on the world stage as a film producer in 1996 following the success of SHINE which received a multitude of awards, including nine AFI Awards, and was nominated for Best Film at the 1996 Golden Globes, the 1996 Academy Awards and the 1996 British Academy Film and Television Arts Award. For Her role Jane was nominated by the Producers Guild of America for the 1996 Producer of the Year Award.
Jane Scott's background was in magazine journalism in London, Jane joined the British Film Production Board, as Production Co-Ordinator working on a large number of short films for the BFI and the Arts Council of Great Britain.
Jane's association with the Australian Film Industry began in 1972 when she worked with Bruce Beresford on THE ADVENTURES OF BARRY MCKENZIE, completeing the production in Australia. Jane worked in Australia and England in the 1970's and has been based in Australia since the early 1980's.
