An interesting account of American stunt car films of the mid 1970's. |
| Synopsis |
In this article, Smith poses the question "...what is car culture in the movies?"(49), he then goes on to answer his question stating "...the tip of this mechanical iceberg is fairly distinct: films about auto racers, car thieves, carhops, people who live in motels, cars, motor homes, or trailers; demolition derby drivers or bootleggers"(49).
Smith then goes on to discuss at length the number of then contemporary 'car culture films', including Paper Moon and The Last American Hero. |
