Of the inspiration behind the 'wizard', Chris Lofven states "...David Bowie was big in London at the time and I thought it would be interesting to have a Bowie-like central character"(52)
When asked about the photographic style, Lofven makes the decidedly spurious statement that "..I didn't want the film to look like a movie, but rather like a natural experience"(53)
