An interesting read whereby Michael Thornhill, director of 'The F.J. Holden', makes a provocative defence of his film stating "Only the professional, middle-class Actor's Equity people think it's appalling trash. They've told me. Privately. And I get a real thrill out of this"(54) |
Synopsis |
On the set of 'The F.J. Holden' Sandra Hall interviews director Michael Thornhill.
Thornhill comments that, at the time, there had not been a suburban Australian film, going on to say that "..Everybody talks about the suburban sprawl without really knowing what it's like, yet a lot of kids - kids we've met doing this film - have never been the city"(54). |
