Synopsis |
The article cites the controversy surrounding 'The F.J. Holden' when it was released. While the film was originally classified with an 'R' rating by the Commonwealth Film Censorship Board, in Victoria and New South Wales, the film had an M rating because those states were governed under different legislation.
At the time, the then "...Liberal MLA for Burwood Mr Geoff (sic) Kennett, asked the State Government to reclassify the film. He said he believed the F.J. Holden was a good film, but was worried that parents and teenagers could be classification and title"(51)
