The unnamed journalist interviewed AFC public relations director, Rea Francis, co-producer Lyne Helms and the 'star' of Oz, Joy Dunstan on their way to the Brisbane premiere of the film. Providing us with only a brief run-down of a synopsis, the journalist seems unfairly geared toward perpetuating negative publicity by concentrating on the Oz's so-called 'bad language'.
Still, the article is an intersting insight into the ironic (perhaps even hypocritical, giving the swingin' image we are given of it in current times) conservativism of the seventies - with the swearing in Oz rather mild compared to today's standards!

Synopsis |
The article provides a brief run-down of the film, but for the most part has these three women - Rea Francis, Lyne Helms and Joy Dunstan - appropriating what was perceived as the 'bad language' featured in Oz.
In defence, Lyne Helm states "..four letter words are a part of reality, and make Oz more believable", with Rea Francis adding "..the way the characters speak is the way we hear Joe Bloggs down the road speaking".
