The, box office recored given in this article, shows that, local films is still highly supported my locals. And the Director, Gregor Jordan, mentioned in the article that he wanted his feature debut to deliver on the level of a Hollywood movie, 'without wimping out on the Aussie-ness.' |
Synopsis |
It had a brief review of the film. However, it had more emphasis on the film that since it's opening night, the film had managed to hold one of the top two positions at the local box office for two consecutive weekends grossing $1.9 million in it's first 12 days in cinemas. Becoming the first Australian film to hit No1 in its first week sof release since Reckless Kelly in 1993. Two Hands had outgrossed every other Hollywood Blockbuster movie at the box office that time, including, Entrapment and Instinct.
Both Producer,Marian Macgowen and Director Gregor Jordan were very thrilled and overwhelmed by the results. They were happy that a local film can have such good results and it shows that there locals still support local films and it shows that there is still the audience for local films out there. |
