Comments This website is a bit of a let-down. Despite how accomplished David Goldie is and the amount of work that he has produced not just with his traditional documentary making with the ABC but having crossed over into multimedia and new media this website is incredibly unsophisticated. It is lacking in a lot of style and most importantly information. Despite there being a link titled “Bio” you are only lead to an older version of the page with the perfunctory two paragraphs about the awards he has received which you have already had access to through the title menu at the top of the page. The work page only gives a very brief description of the piece and then you can buy it or watch a trailer. There is no real incentive to spend much time on the site and you would only go to the site if you knew that you wanted to buy a particular work. The other members of the team are also only given a very brief description of what they do. From this description there is no incentive to check out their own websites or contact them. It is not even specified what role they play in Goldiemedia. This is not a great source of material. (Airlie)
Synopsis Goldiemedia is the corresponding website to the multimedia company set up by David Goldie. There is a welcome page, a page dedicated to David Goldie, a page about the work of Goldiemedia, a page about the employees and a page with contact details. The page dedicated to David Goldie himself is focused on the many awards he has received over the years for his documentaries and other endeavours. This page doesn’t hold any extra information about David Goldie himself. The page dedicated to the work that is currently being produced by Goldiemedia lists the various titles they have produced such as Surviving Crime, Swapping Lives, 3 Seconds from Glory, Long Journey, Young Lives and Blood, Sweat and CHEERS. All of these productions are available to buy through the site. The page about the staff of the company has the most information. This page includes a short description of each member of the team and links to email or personal websites if they have them. David Goldie has a link to a biography which takes you back to the page mentioned before about his awards and a link to a filmography. The filmography opens in a new page and covers only a logline for each of the films he has worked on. (Airlie)
