Comments King's critical review on the Road To Nhill, roughly a page long, is upbeat and informative, without slandering the film or showering undeserved appraisal. He starts his piece by providing background information on both writer Alison Tilson and director Sue Brooks, giving pretence to the films style and rhythm. King believes the films pace can be attributed to the environment in which Tilson and Brooks grew up in and accepts the laid-back approach adopted by Brooks and applauds her unhurried development of story with plenty of time for humorous moments from the onset and throughout, which is common amongst a tight rustic communities. However, Kings also feels the film to be "top heavy" with too many unnecessary characters, and would more ideally be shot as a 60 minute feature or tv-movie. Furthermore King sums up his opinion in a few words whilst addressing the writer and directors inability to end the film properly.
