This article is a brief biography of Frank William Thring. It discusses his life in the cinema business and there is a brief paragraph on the Paramount Theatre. He opened this theatre in 1915 and became managing director of J. C. Williamson Films in 1918, which operated the Paramount. J. C. Williamson Films merged with Hoyts to form Hoyts Theatres.
