Discusses the St Kilda Memorial Theatre, and his memories of attending. He describes the Memorial referred to by locals as a 'flea-pit', he continues stating it was a misery, it had uncomfy seats, tatty curtains, radiators on the walls, strange decorative lights. However he loved the memo, because it was different from the major studio productions shown at the other cinemas. It was he states - the home of Monogram features and Republic pictures, B pictures from major studios, fast action series films, cheap westerns and nightmarish horror films. |
