Synopsis Desperate for a gun, Smiley promises Sgt Flaxman to be good for a whole month. Despite all his best efforts, Smiley is accused of letting a goat into a church and stealing the local "witch's" pot of gold. When Smiley discovers that it was an unscrupulous city journalist, Sgt Flaxman gives him his gun.
