Title The Alive Tribe
Copyright Title The Alive Tribe
Released 1997
Production Year 1997
Director Stephen Amis
Comments The cast list only has the names of the actors as the only production records i could find on the film comes from Production Surveys published in industry journals (eg Cinema Papers). I have not been able to find a copy of this film in any video store, and it doesn't even look as if the Cinemedia access collection posseses a copy.

The Alive Tribe can be seen as one of a number of films in the semi-under ground, no-budget film production movement which seems be forming in Melbourne at the moment. The production budget for this film was touted as being $17,000 (Australian).
Synopsis "The Alive Tribe is a wild bunch of hipped-out student radicals who fight for anything, from ecological Armageddon to the ozone layer and animal liberation. Set around the final days of the Fitzroy Football Club merger, the film explores the theme: evolve or die."

Synopsis taken from "inproduction: Production Survey" in Cinema Papers - Number 118, July 1997.
