Synopsis |
Ann Darrow, an out-of-work actress living in the Depression, is employed by filmmaker Carl Denham to star in his latest epic. Denham takes the entire cast and crew (including love interest-playwright Jack Driscoll) to Skull Island to shoot the film. While there, the filmmakers encounter the giant ape, Kong, who develops a fascination with Ann. Denham captures Kong and takes him back to New York with the intention of displaying him to the world. Still fixated on Ann, Kong breaks free from his chains and wreaks havoc on New York City, in search of her. |
