Synopsis A mock documentary about Colin McKenzie, a forgotten pioneer of International cinema. Supposedly born in New Zealand in 1888, Mckenzie made his own film stock from raw eggs ( 12 eggs = 1 minute of film).

He filmed the his first feature with sound in 1908 using Chinese actors, though as subtitles had not been invented, the film flopped. He then discovered how to make colour film stock in 1911 by using a Tahitian berry, and shot some test footage on the islands during which several topless Tahitian women unexpectedly entered the shot . Unfortunately on return to New Zealand, he and his brother were sentenced to six months hard labour for exhibiting the 'lewd document'.

Amongst many other things, McKenzie managed to film his own death in 1937.
