        | Comments | A didactic morality tale but one which avoids sentimentality and overtly instructive dialogue. For extensive review see Slippery Slide in the bibliographic database.

        | Synopsis | Two children are removed from their mother and placed in foster care at a young age. As teenagers, the brother, Steve, is thrown out of his foster home and attempts are made to place him either back with his mother or in a boys home. Alana, his sister, becomes pregnant and it seems the only solution to Steve's increasingly desperate and erratic behaviour is, with the aid of social worker David, to find a flat where brother and sister can live together. |
