Synopsis Joe gets fired from his job at a theatre company and is frustrated in love. Depressed with his situation he ventures to the local pub, gets drunk and contemplates suicide. In his disillusioned state, Joe arranges with a gangster to leave all his possessoins in exchange for a painless death. The follwing day Joe regrets his decision and upon learning that he has inherited a fortune, he attempts to retract the deal. Zilch, the gangster, however is not amused and wants his inheritence, thus he plans to kidnap Joe, resulting in a crazy Sydney Harbour speedboat chase with Joe ending victoriously with his money and his love.
