Synopsis |
Koorine is a 'fair-skinned' Koorie who leads the children at the local swimming pool to believe that she is white. Two Bob Mermaid is set in 1957, a time in which racial segregation was enforced in public spaces. While Koorine swims with her white friends, her Koorie friends watch from behind the pool fence and become upset and offended when she fails to acknowledge her Koorie heritage and identity. |
