Title They Found a Cave
Production Year 1962
Director Andrew Steane
Comments A jolly hockey-sticks kind of romp in the vein of the Famous Five. Not as exciting as the book version. Very bad lip-sync. Acting is not too crash hot either.

This record is incomplete but contains all the credits appearing on the version I viewed. Would be interested to find out if anyone knows how this film was funded and if it really qualifies as a 'Tasmanian' children's film. Mia Tolhurst
Synopsis Four children are sent to Tasmania after the death of their mother to live with the Aunt Jandie on a small farm. When Jandie goes into hospital the children are left in the care of Ma and Pa Pinner, a pair of small time crims, who are the farm caretakers. The upshot is that the Pinners are so awful that the children escape to the bush and take up residence in a cave. From there they spy on the Pinners, foil their evil plot to steal Jandie's money and sheep, and alls well that ends well.
