| Synopsis |
This is more like an anthropological account of a Fire Ceremny called Jardiwarnpa that has particular reference for these communities of Aboriginal people. The request to document by the senior elderman was an attempt to reinforce an Aboriginal spirituality and tradition back into Aboriginal culture. Everyone is involved in the successful production of the event that calls upon ancestors , elders , women and the younger members of the tribe. The results include beautifully crafted wooden medallions , paintings and elaborate head dresses complete with body paint and some of the politics and semantics involved in the event. It's an amazing account of the sophisticated nature of the Aboriginal tradition and culture. |
