Synopsis |
A couple accidentally reuniting after fifteen years apart and they quickly tumble into bed and, after the first occasion, Maureen(Michele Fawdon) confesses that her husband is sterile and she desperately wants to bear him a child. Geoff(John Clayton), the former lover, seeing the opportunity for the relationship to reignite, reluctantly agrees to impregnate her. They go off to an idyllic setting at Palm Beach and set about the conception, she with clinical calm, he with lust in his heart. They talk, they banter, they bicker, she conceives, they inevitably argue and make up, and both go back to their normal lives. A year later, Geoff visits Maureen and, in the presense of her husband, George(Norman Kaye), holds the baby for a moment. |
