As a British film actor familiar with 'talkies',he came to Australia with the Nicholas Hannes Stage Company, and appeared at the Criterion.

He starred in the Cinseound film 'The Silence Of Dean Maitland' which preceeded 'Thoroughbred' and also did work for radio plays.
