Name Harry Sinclair
Comments Harry Sinclair began his professional career as an actor at Theatre Corporate, Auckland. In 1984 he went to study drama at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris. On his return to New Zealand, Sinclair got together with Don McGashan and formed Front Lawn, a theatre and multi-media duo, making films, records and live shows. They toured the world to international acclaim. Front Lawn films included Walk Short (1987), Lounge Bar (1988), a finalist at the 1989 American Film and Video Festival, and Linda's Body (1990) which was awarded Best Short Film at the 1990 New Zealand Film Awards. Focusing on filmmaking, Sinclair wrote and directed two more short dramas in 1993, Casual Sex and Avenue du Maine.

Sinclair's debut feature was Topless Women Talk About their Lives (1996).
