John Cornell is the former columnist and London editor of West Australian Newspapers. His main field of work since then has been television production. He produced A Current Affair in the early 70's, where he met his future collegue, Paul Hogan. Cornell later produced over 50 episodes of the Paul Hogan Show and later helped originate Hogan's Fosters and Australian Tourism Commission advertising campaigns. He produced six TV specials on Germaine Greer and held a major role as a shareholder in the conceptualisation, marketing and TV presentation of World Series Cricket. His first venture into the feature film industry was as producer of the international blockbuster, Crocodile Dundee in 1986. He then produced AND directed the sequel in 1988, and Almost an Angel in 1990 - again with Paul Hogan. |
