Antonio Vargas is considered a flamenco dance master. He had a dance studio in Sydney at time when he made his film debut in Baz Luhrmann's "Strictly Ballroom". Luhrmann came across Vargas when in the audience of "Blood Wedding", Vargas' dance production at the Seymoure Centre in 1989. After playing Rico, Fran's Spanish father in "Strictly Ballroom" and touring to promote the film, he relocated to Munich in 1992. |
