Name Ken Coldicutt
Comments Ken Coldicutt is one of the founders of the Realist Film Unit which operated in the 1940s. He devoted his life to the issues of the 'progressive' film movement such as censorship, film distribution and criticism of the capitalist cinema. Coldicutt travelled the lenght and breath of the country in 1937 by train in order to show films about the Spanish War and raise funds for the Spanish Relief committee. His name is legendary in left-wing circles for his committemtn to screening and producing 'oppositional' films.
