Comments Frank Lipson is a multi-award winning sound editor whose credits include some of the best Australian and International films of the last two decades.

After several years of working on a number of Australian productions including “The Sullivans”, Frank went on to form THUNDER TRACKS, a sprocket based sound editing facility that was the first Australian company to utilise digital sound editing technology in the editing of major feature films and television series.

Frank has worked as a freelance sound editor on some of Australia’s biggest and most successful feature films including; LUCKY COUNTRY, MARY & MAX directed by Oscar Winner Adam Elliot, HAPPY FEET, CHOPPER, ROMEO & JULIET directed by Baz Luhrmann, BABE 2: PIG IN THE CITY and ROMPER STOMPER starring Russell Crowe.

Through his extensive career as a Sound Editor, Frank has been received multiple nominations for local and international awards. Frank has been nominated 9 times for the AFI award in the category “Best Sound in a Feature Film”, taking home the title for ROMPER STOMPER, METAL SKIN and JAPANESE STORY. His work on the hit feature film MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME earned Frank a nomination for the Golden Reel Award from the Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild of America.
