This is a very interesting article and well worth a read. It contains an interview with John Duigan detailing his pre-production processes (in particular with relation to actors) which he deems essential in low budget film making in Australia. A very interesting article for anyone who may be interested in the film making process from an authorship point of view. Creative control is highlighted as a major factor in Duigan's film making process and this is supported by producer George Miller. There are some interesting comments made by Miller in regard to Australian Film Institute nominations that were not received by the director for his work on Flirting.
