Comments Since when were "moral positives" a factor in making film ? Seems to think anything which may affect that "certain class of people" should be censored as they aren't responsible or 'decent thinking citizens' and thus should be denied the privilege of experiences they enjoy. And she hasn't even seen the thing !
Synopsis Spokesperson for Women in the Tasmanian state Parliament, Fran Bladel has attacked 'Chopper'.

According to Bladel, making a movie about Read is effectively glorifying the "life of the self-confessed murderous wifebeater".

"This man had profited from a life of gross violent acts to other human beings, and has reached celebrity status through things like joking about victims on television and through writing books...this film would convey the message that to be cruel and vindictive and to beat women, pushed a person to hero status with a certain class of people".

"As for his macabre signature identification of self-mutilation, this has alreadyy been emulated by other people in the prison system who have also lopped off an ear in honour of this hero...I can see no value and no moral positives in making a film to further glorify a very sad and dysfunctional person like Chopper Read".

These loaded comments demonstrate the gist of her arguement.
