Comments Film review comparing The Truman Show to some of Peter Weir's earlier films.
Synopsis Talks about how Weir is in the habit of making movies that deal with "the fragility of human existence" and that questions the purpose of life. Fearless did this, Dead Poet's Society did this, and The Truman Show is arguably Weir's most anti-mass media film to date. Ironically, he has chosen one of the world's most media-exposed actors, Jim Carrey, as the star.
