For a comparison of the social climate in Australia to that of post-war Italy, this book was useful. It assist in defining the movement and how the films worked stylistically under Neo-realism. The book was in building the orgins Neo-realism so that a contemporary production like John Duigan's "Mouth to Mouth" could be compared. |
