Comments Max Staurt is at ease with the thought of death. This may be because he spent years fighting the injustice of the Australian legal system and was put in and out of jail up until 1984. Media Mogul, Rupert Murdoch payed particular interest in the case and fought heavily against Max Stuart being hanged. Now days Stuart is a respected tribal Arrernte man and former chairman of Central land council along with being an official elder who welcomed the Majesty, Queen to Alice Springs in 2000 and presented her with an Indigenous painting.
