Synopsis |
This article is an excellent contextualization of the cinema industry at the point of time in which the article is written. It reports of the irony that the Forum is being sold to a local religious group at a time when cinema investment is on the increase. The article gives a very brief history of the Forum, in which it was once named the State. The article contrasts the original cinema with the present day, in which the cinema was once an extravagant experience, whereas now, in 1986, cinema architecture is strictly functional.
