The imdb is generally used in order to get information about a particular movie, almost always technical specifications and which actors were involved. Originally I was intending to do just that, but that is not a credible source. However, in this case I intended to take a look at the bottom and read through the reviews as posted by random users on the website. This proves to be rather important to the topic I intend to discuss in the final publication, as it allows for a modern perspective on the film as seen by those who may or may not have be professionals. While there are only 4 reviews posted, the range of scores level out to be an average of 4 out of 10 stars. Giving an approximation of the general publicâs reaction to the film adaption. While this may introduce bias to some degree due to personal opinion and the overall lack of reviews, it helps to serve the final point: That the original play was conceivably better and that while it happens to have a few good moments, this American adaption has failed to live up to the expectations due to a lack of effort to even attempt an Australian accent.
