An interesting and full description of the history of the venue which was known as the Solway theatre Fitzroy, The Regent Theatre and the H.S.V 7 teletheatre amongst other names throughout it's lifetime. The article goes through the history of the venue at each stage of it's life time, going into fascinating detail of how much the venue cost each time it was sold, the steps that were taken to convert the venue between each of it's changes and the number of seats at each point. The article also has detailed accounts of what happened to the venue towards the end of its life with information about how the owner at that time wanted to make it into a restaurant before it was vandalized beyond repair and later demolished. Synopsis This article describes a Fitzroy Cinema venue in its many manifestations from when it was first erected in 1911 to it's demolition in 1985.
