Most of the artical is focused on the American productions of 'The goodbye girl' and 'Annie Hall.' David Baker breaks down the strutcures of the two films then places them in relation to current Austrlian Productions. A number of Aussie films a mentioned. He attacks the forms and styles of our films, and provides an honest opinion of each film. "'Mouth to Mouth' goes like a train.....but i don't like its grotty social-realist outlook I think it flows out of a misunderstanding of what film does best."

Baker then indulges in Australian films, breaking down our film industry and how our films model against these American Productions. With reference to numerous OZ production he finds a 'lack' in recent productions.
