Author(s)Scott Murray
Page Number 49-51
Comments The section on pg 50 'Evaluating Australian Cinema' talks about Australian films and the distinct quality that occurs in diverse genres.
Australian films have a strong 'individual vision' behind them .

In the 1970's Australia's accent affected distribution in America. Even Mad Max had to be dubbed for U.S. audiences. This is not an issue anymore.

The section on pg. 51 'A Critical Culture' looks at the critical culture of Australia. How a film does better in the box office in Australia if it has first achieved success overseas.
